History of Człuchów Land
The exhibition History of Człuchów Land presents the oldest history of this region. Presented relics come from the research of early medieval colonization in Krępsko and Szczytno lake area, and the cemetery research of Pomeranian people's culture (650-400 B.C) in Olszanowo, Sępólno and Gwieździn. The reconstruction of box stone grave, photograms and beautiful graphic setting make the exhibition worth seeing.
The culture of Kashubaian Goch people
The Ethnography Department deals with material culture of Kashubaian Goch people (nowadays Lipnica district). Despite the strong germanization in 18th and 19th century, Goch people survived in the east and north parts of Człuchów near the former historical boarder.
The ethnographical exhibition presents the relics of food preparation materials, working of silk and wood, land cultivation, cattle-breeding, furniture and home utensils.
Worth seeing are decorating butter moulds, churns, chests, spinning-wheels and dowry chests.The department collects works of modern folk art and the exhibits of material culture emmigrants arrived to Człuchów after 1945.
The art and artistic craft from XV to XX ct.
The most precious exhibit of art and craft in the museum are: the Gothic sculpture of Saint Margaret (15th century?) from Słupia church (probably it was a part of cabin altar called Four Virgins); early Barogue veneered and rich inlaid wardrobe of 1676 from Koprzywica mansion house and a set of Baroque sculpture from Gwieździn church.
